Inês Martinho, Product designer

In order for an object to be chosen for ones house, it has to transmit emotion and build a space one can identify himself. That’s the motto of Inês Martinho.

Born 1983 in Lisbon, Inês Martinho comes from the 2006 class of industrial design of the Institute of visual arts, design and marketing (IADE). Among many accolades , her designs have been awarded in contests for brands like Grand Marnier, Roche Pharmaceuticals and Superbock (Experimenta Design).

With deep admiration for the 40s and the 50s classics, such as Jean Prouvé e Charles & Ray Eames, Inês inspiration comes from sources like cinema and music.

Inês is known for her attachment to purist and minimalistic materials, not on their form, but rather in the idea that besides functionality a design should exist with it an individual personality.
